
The Martín Berasategui Restaurant has become one of the international gastronomic temples due to its merits: its has received a lot of awards, which attract hundreds of people every year.
This eager cook, who is in love with his job, has achieved culinary maturity thanks to his persevering temperament, so he enjoys with what he likes to do: to cook and to transmit his knowledge to new generations.
He is considered to be a reference in high gastronomy. He has received three Michelin stars and he is recognised because of the great amount of scores he is given in gastronomic guides all over the world. Some define its cooking as light, imaginative, fresh, quick and made with precious technique.
After a long career, in 1993 he opened his own restaurant in Lasarte and nowadays he directs a team which manages several gastronomic projects and publishing houses, related to the best cookery and enjoyment.
Aware of the soil he treads and proud of being part of a noble and fortunate land, Martín faces the challenge of gathering its best cooking in this website. He tries to summarise a tasty universe in few screen shots through which all the members of the kitchen and restaurant teams participate.
Martín thinks that good COOKING, written in capital letters, does not belong to anyone: it belongs to all that people who cook since the remote past. The last objective of his work is to know how to interpret it.
